After about 4 or 5 years of use, I had a pair of the 7509s stolen from me earlier this year. I shopped around, tried all of the hot shit new models out, and after all of that, came right back to the 7509s in the HD flavor (the non-HD flavor wasn't available anymore).
I agree that the bass is a bit confusing and hard to place, but besides that, imaging and tonality are pretty on point, these cans are the most comfortable for my ear, and they know how to take a beating.
