The hard way is the only way! :lol:

Oh my, I haven't visited this board in a while and totally missed out on Ubermap. What a fantasticly helpful tool. Thank you so much. Will start mapping my favorite plugins asap.

Crossing my fingers for an update which makes it possible to display Diva's text values.

So I tried making some quick mappings. But sadly all the parameters of the plugins I edited aren't visible on Push anymore. So e.g. when I just change the first parameter, it doesn't show up on Push but the other seven autopopulated parameters are still there. Anybody got a clue on how to solve this?

I'm on Mac OS 10.8.5

Did you rename the parameter?

I tried both: Renaming them and just moving them around. Same result, though.
I also tried different text editors.

U-He updated Diva recently, and it now shows strings instead of waht it used to show. It is still not perfect though (ther is a "unit" suffix following each value) but much better than waht it used to be.

Cheers

I don't know I've made a few configs the only gotchas I had was when I either renamed a parameter, had two parameters with the same name in the same bank or had too many parameters in the one bank.

What plugin are you trying to config?

So far I've tried it with FilterFreak2, TAL Chorus LX and ValhallaRoom.
Strange…

I'm using the 64Bit version of Live. Could that maybe cause some trouble?

I'm using 64 bit too so I doubt that's the issue. Can you post your config?

I can't seem to attach any files, so I put them in my dropbox:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/ez0zqmk2tpgnw ... amples.zip

It seems like the changing of the position is the issue. The TAL Chorus now shows 3 of the 5 parameters. And Filterfreak2 only shows 1 of 20.

You can post them by clicking the "Code" button and pasting the text in between the code brackets:

Code: Select all

[Banks]
[[Chorus]]
1_CHORUS1ENABLED = CHORUS1
2_CHORUS2ENABLED = CHORUS2
3_STEREOWIDTH = STEREOWIDTH
4_DRYWET = DRYWET
5_VOLUME = VOLUME
[BestOfBank]
[[Bank]]
1_CHORUS1ENABLED = CHORUS1
2_CHORUS2ENABLED = CHORUS2
3_STEREOWIDTH = STEREOWIDTH
4_DRYWET = DRYWET
5_VOLUME = VOLUME
[Config]
Cache = False
Ignore = False
I can't see anything wrong at first look. I'd suggest deleting the configs, get them to repopulate and change one parameter at a time, testing each change as you go in Push

I haven't look at the config files yet but you have to make sure that the parameters you are trying to change are visable in the "config" in Ableton. So whatever auto-populates or you manually assign has to be there in order for the modified .cfg to change those parameters. So in Ableton if you click the little arrow to show automatable parameters they have to all be there.

The best thing to do is to make whatever controls you want to use visible in Ableton, save that as a rack, edit the config file to your liking and anytime you want to use that plugin, load the rack you saved. If you have different controls visible in Ableton it will create a new .cfg file and it will not reference the one that you modified.

Any luck?

Sorry for the late reply and thanks for your help.

Sadly I can't get it to work no matter what I do. The parameters vanish from Push as soon as I change their position. Too bad, Ubermap looked exactly like the thing I've been waiting for.

Hey boboter, I've used Ubermap with 64-bit Live with no problems.

I've been really busy lately as I am starting a new job but I will give you a shout on here sometime this week or next and try to figure out why you are habing issues :) Same goes for my promised new features, just not had a moment to look at them but soon I hope :)

Cheers,
Tom
