When I started using Live in 2011 I suggested this idea on the forum and the consensus back then was that it would clutter the interface and that using ctrl, alt, shift (whatever) you could get the value.

Well you couldn't then and you can't now - try setting tempo to 109 or 118 or something.

You can get very close but never exact!

Madness.

Ctrl+dragging envelope points semi-successfully since 2005.

I also wish there was an easier way of making them snap to grid, other than having to select an area and drag it up/down very slightly. Imagine clicking, and having the envelope point snap to grid; that would be lovely.

Seriously though, an easy fix for Ableton and an extremely useful one for us.

Once more! I don't see how a right click pop-up text box to type in a value that only appears when right clicking an automation point would clutter the interface. Just do it

Here's how I would want it:
1. Right-click envelope point (that snaps to grid)
2. Type value, press enter
