example > master tempo, one for fine adjustents and one for overall level

I would love to have this as well > one pitchbend wheel to adjust the master tempo, and a fader for the absolute setting

I launch a track with a BCR button if I'm not playing live percussion.

If I am playing, I launch it with an FCB1010 footswitch.

Right now I do it by using the same MIDI note on the same MIDI controller, but the new way will be much more flexible.

Does Live now retain midi mapping for a device if you load it in a different channel, etc?

I always hated trying to map all the controls on my keyboard to an Operator (for instance), then have all my mappings lost as soon as I load a new Operator, etc...

I'm considering building my own midi controller, and I would be thinking about having both momentary and on/off buttons controlling certain effects, so that I could either turn them on and leave them on, or only have them on while I'm pressing the button. Though I think I can still do that with creative wiring...

I hope they optimize/simplify this process sometime. I like the idea of having container channels; they would look like a special channel (with it's own scenes) that you can drag other channels in and out of.

Any channel "in" the container channel gets routed through it's own level/pan/effects/sends, and then through the container's level/pan/effects/sends(/parent containers).

Triggering a scene for that container would trigger any clips on that container's scene's row. (Same for container's follow actions).

The screen shot is of live 5. Notice the level sliders and read outs? Notice no macro button next to browser?

the video and it's audio remains untouched and the global tempo matches it
