:)

robbmasters you cant take control of the ableton with your fingers directly using normal and standar touchscreen.
The size of your finger make that not possible and the resolution under cheap touchscreen.

You can buy a wacom expensive magnetic pencil/tablet and with that yu can !! but check the price you have to pay : )

Ableton GUI its not designed for work with touch screen directly, you need some frontend specially designed for that, specially for one thing, size of buttons, sliders, etc etc.
Size its the trouble.
I see some people use tablets, but dont think that its confortable way to play with ableton due you have use pencil.

Best regards.

Ah, yes of course you'd need a stylus with a tablet - and that's no fun. Though maybe you could bastardise a stylus into some kind of finger mounted pointer.

I'm not sure that with a large touch screen at a low resolution you couldn't control Live directly though. But not being able to try it I may be missing the subtleties of mouse vs touch screen (I know from working on touch screen kiosks some years ago that you can't always translate directly).

Just noticed that this is free now! And there I was thinking about buying a copy just so that I could get on the lifetime upgrade path. ;) And I've may have just across a cheap touch screen... :D

looks great

Grobe, you have many times said that this is NOT a lemur replacement, and that it is NOT configurable. Then many people have said it is Lemur ripoff. I see nothing wrong with making a Lemur ripoff. The product would be so much more interesting were it ripping off all the modules and configurability of the Lemur.

If people want a DJ controller, then why not just have a UC33 or Kenton? The touchscreen concept is important because you can build your own quickly and keep adapting it.

Its a big pleasure know this new look its better for everybody : )
I really suprised Rober H want try this : )

Please guys if you not have touchscreen yet, i recomend NOT BUY, and wait a little, i already test CAPCITIVE, IR , AND RESISTIVE touch scrrens.

This starting week i recive SAW touch screen, i think this is the best option, SAW touch can sense preasure level, so i start think in some possible use of that : )

I make public some info soon about touchscreen soon.

About touch screen:

After test capacitive, resistive and now saw touch screen, i can confirm the best touchscreen for use with monotouchlive its only SAW touch screen, i not recomend capacitie or resisitve.

Saw need juts a little or preasue for work its perfect for move sliders, etc etc

Best regards.
