Okay. erm. Props to glitchrock-buddha for opening my eyes to a clever new routing method and NO PROPS to beats for destroying the dream.

Okay. Well. $45 per month. My company pays that bill anyway.
So.
THE DREAM IS BACK.

I should have thought of that clever routing method, but because I'm still rockin a 1st gen iPhone......

Didn't even enter into my consciousness. What other life changing things am I missing out on because I've not upgraded?
Of course, glitch prolly doesn't own either one...but he's more clever than I am.

Where's Obama's dream of National FREE WiFi?
Oh. Nevermind.

I just got off the phone with Disney. I pitched a Tron-like movie chronicling LSZ’s quest for reliable wireless MIDI on idevices. They're only interested if I rework the ending so that he dies of old age in the process.

you can put your requests here:

its equally effective as asking Apple, AT&T, Disney, or Obama.

Is there a reason Santa isn't on that list or did you just forget?

Looks interesting, but not sure if it works with an adhoc network.
Over in the touchAble thread the dev is trying to walk me thru some method in which you replace the temporary adhoc network with a 'share' network configuration (supposedly a permanent type of adhoc), but fuck if I can figure it out or get it to work.

I'm borderline retarded when it comes to this stuff, but have learned a ton since getting into the iPad music apps.

I'm going to give it another go and detail my experience carefully in that thread. If this is indeed the solution, it pretty much would solve 60% of my connection bitching. Apps that use the OSX MIDI Networking still require setup and constant looking after - hence my call for USB connection options wherever possible.
