I discovered this to be the decided upon narrative: Imperial Putin is pulling a fast one on the West, while it's actually the other way around. Ukraine was part of Russias sphere of influence that through provocation of the West ("You are either with us (the EU) or Russia") was manuvered into the western sphere. Crimea is the token he needs to save face for losing Ukraine, yet the West says NO YOU, we want to build our military basis ever closer to your borders.

In my opinion Obama is playing the Cold War card to distract the public in the west from their own fascist secret police state machinations. It seems to be working so far...

The 21st century has finally started and it won't be any less bloody than the 20th, just that this time the casualties will all be collateral damage, as the soldiers get exchanged for drones...
We are living in more interesting times, than we all have the stomach for...

And to all those: "But it's the Ukrainians fighting for their freedom and democracy, we have to help them....."
