scratch that... if i need a disabled product i can get an M-box bundle.

Btw here's what one of the BWs gave as an answer to someone asking for releasing it "now" on Facebook today:

"Please be so kind and elaborate a bit on why we should release an unfinished piece of software?"

So they really don't seem to care about the difference of alpha- and beta-stage.

Maybe they are part of the silent Live 9 beta and feel so happy about that, that they have a "we are beta testing" button on their website.

at least they have a sense of humor about it all. it gives the impression they're working fast enough to not see the forest through the trees, or it's sarcasm that just went over my head and they're going balls out.

It looks like Bezier curves in the automation.

yup. its a nifty implementation. the pencil draws straight lines (not squared off like Live) which you can then alt-click on to get a 'line bender' function to create curves. there's also 4 types of automation: first to control the main parameters, then another 3 modes that can alter the main ones in diff ways. you can see the 4 buttons in the pic (end of the Phosyon track, 2x2 block). its similar to absolute/relative modes between clips and tracks in Live but more powerful. its actually pretty confusing at first. still getting used to it.

Line Bender, sounds fantastic
The automation types sounds like something i'd have to try to understand.
