Not pictured are my synths, guitars, Farfisa, drums, and other stuff like that. I'd take a picture but my place is all in a jumble of cardboard boxes and chaos.

I'm being forced to slim down my set-up a little bit because my new space will be a lot smaller. But, the way I'm dealing with it is by buying more gear! I like hardware, and want more of it, so I've been carefully putting together the ideal 16 space rack set-up. I'm really looking forward to setting up again and getting back to the music. And hopefully some beta testing as well.

Just to note, I'm aware that my Genelecs are too low. I'm kind of a girl when it come to looks, and I haven't found the right blocks to prop them up with yet. It's amazingly difficult to find two minimal heavy square blocks in either black or white.

hi man, tip for the genies... look for those glass square blocks you find in diy stores... like the ones in my old studio setup from slovakia, those you get in sexy coloursa or neutral ones... they do look smart. i used milky grey ones, can't see it so well, because of the low quality pic... and they are not expensive...

and yo! man, very stylish indeed, like it, i am a very visual person myself, that is yet another reason why i changed my setup from that mess before, now only the cables need a proper tidy and i will post a pic again with more of the room, it has to fit opitcally into my living environment... i love stuff with style

That's a nice idea. I propped my Genelecs up using a pile of books - carefully selected to appear randomly esoteric and intellectual.

Sub - thanks for the props. I dig your set-up as well, but I'm in the "more is more" camp, so if you're getting rid of more hardware you can pass it over to me.

I have to say, I am tempted to get rid of my hardware sampler. I was packing last night and I came across this big container of floppy discs with samples on them. They will likely be donated to a thrift store soon.

So those blocks... are they the glass bricks that were popular in the 1980's?

^^^^ i think more in the 60s - 70s???, but however, they are glass bricks, yeas.
i just used 4 of them 2 together are the perfect size for 8030s,

if you check some DIY stores you get really smart ones, they come in very horrible up to extra smart variations, i bought mine in slovakia in a german DIY chain called Hornbach... i still use one of them as pure deco, cause they look so fancy...

.....New addition to the studio being put through its paces by a one of a team of ace test pilots and at Minstrel Towers....

(Just need to work out if I can hook it up to my DAW via the home wireless network?)

Yea, I finally broke down and got a Jazz set.
I have a lot of funk drums and I came from a funk/rock
background, but seems like all my gigs are of the Jazz venue.
The DW's are nice, it was worth the price. Convincing my
wife of that anyway.

It's a double-pedal, yes

BTW, I noticed you're in Berlin. I will be spending some time there in May between 12-17th, looking up some old friends and checking out the local scene. If you got anything going on or know of some places/happenings that I should check out, please let me know! (same goes for anyone else on here who's in Berlin).
