the fact that you took the time to put this together instead of simply ignoring it says a lot.
you timur in disguise?
this statement states effect racks were removed from live 8?The functionality of Limiter, Overdrive and Multiband Dynamics were already available through audio effect racks provided with Live 7 - that Ableton removed from Live 8.
hello, this is untrue as are most of your rationalizations.
you can rationalize anything you want but that doesn't make it true.
you have no idea how to use looper, and you also state this which is totally false.
the groove engine is fantastic. sorry your an idiot and can't use it. FL sounds perfect for you.
if I can skim read three paragraphs and see bull shit how much more made up shit is in this?
this was claimed and announced.more bull shit on group tracks wrote:To be fair, Ableton didn’t actually claim to have added this feature; it was just something I was expecting from the smartest developers currently working on a DAW.

This topic was idle for the last month till now:
Using Live 7 and testing Live 8 trial version before opening the boxed upgrade. Wish it could export files to MP3-happy to pay the additional monies for the convenience. Still have 10 days of trial testing to go... Wish-it would export my files to ITUNES w/o the hassle. REASON 4 allows the exporting of audio files to ITUNES. ITUNES is not great but it's free and you can burn an audio CD for convenience

Re: Why Upgrading to Live 8 is a Waste of Money
i must say at the moment i am put off buying live 8. i was lucky enough to test it when it was a beta. the only feature i miss from the new feature set is the new groove editor. its such easy and user friendly feature. i don't think that alone justifies the big price to upgrade.
obviously some ppl will have plenty of uses for live's other new features. i don't need or desire the new looper plugin (altho recognise that this was a much requested feature). i do think the workaround for 128 parameters is excellent, but i can live without it. the limiter is ace, but other plugins can do the same. and the overdrive is ace, but other plugins can do similar.
if operator ever gets bundled into the upgrade price then i might switch. the changes operator are big, and i actually think it was one of the best soft synths i have used. still, the fact that i am happy with live 7 still is not a bad thing. shows that it is a good product. just reckon i need more value for money in these credit crunching times to convince to me upgrade.

Rob- they often bundle operator in upgrades and/or new purchases...I would keep checking the shops page.
Re: Why Upgrading to Live 8 is a Waste of Money
Groove is the big thing for me, but admittadly, I don't use the new features much. Drum racks still kill everything.

Ableton has the best customer support in the business. Hands down, every time you Email Ableton, they write back. They work very hard to solve your problem.
Personal care, and customer support is:
A) Highly expensive- Hence all the robots we get, when we call major corporations nowadays.
B) Great for human beings- There is nothing like knowing, somebody else is trying to help solve your problem.
Thanks & Regards
