guns make it too easy to kill someone. maybe a bomb would have caused as much or more carnage, but its not nearly as easy to put together, plant, execute ...etc , and importantly it would take planning. it would be pre-meditated.

I'm certain that alot of the gun murders in the USA happen shortly after someone is pissed off, flips out. If they didnt have a gun, by the time they'd conceivably be in a position to murder - they may have calmed down.

with a gun, you can get the idea to kill and achieve it rapidly.

As the story unfolds, it seems this guy (The Korean) didn't just wake up and go ona shooting rampage

NBC got some package (Probably sent by president bush) with all kinds of video, photo's and what-not

this guy knew well in advance what he was going to do - he bought one of the guns a week prior to the shooting

had guns been illegal he'd probably cop one off the street


there's no real answer here - the guy was a psycho

I see we have some real zygote intelligence in this thread. If you knew how to read, you would have seen that:

1.) I never said I didn't care about those you addressed

2.) In no place did I say I supported U.S. foreign policy

Go study the facts for a few years, then come back and reply when you brighten up.

BTW: What are you doing about your sob story? If nothing other than coming here to vent, then shut it, because you're just another hypocrite.

I don't know about all of the grand debates going on here but yeah I pretty much agree that just looking at this specific case as an isolated incident and not drawing connections to the larger picture, gun control wouldn't have stopped this guy. He was determined, for lack of a better word.

However, fixing the society that produces people like this is another matter altogether...

You see, I can't help being of the opinion that if there were no guns there would be no gun deaths and try as I might I can't seem to reconcile that any other way.

Children are children, even if they aren't fully develpoed. That's all that I am going to debate. Your sob story is your responsibility, and I don't see you saying much about something you claim to be so passionate about.
