i don't use the crossfader either, but it's already in the program and the abes won't be spending any money further devoloping it or licsensing it from a 3rd party company.
I understand that this is not the popular opinion here, but it's what i think. I don't want it, i don't want the abes to pay for it, and i'm saying so.

Has everyone voting here tried Elastique pro? just wondering because I would like an offline thing as good as Waves SOundShifter which is truly amazing - haven't checked out Elastique yet

it's not offline, it's just like 'complex' but a bit better. It has transient detection to help stop transient blurring, and it has a monophonic mode and a formant mode. So similar to what we have - but better.
there's a little demo app on their site which is really small, it just allows you to load a wave and gives access to the functions I mentioned above.
but don't be imagining artifact-free offline-style stretching, because it isn't that, it just 'better complex with some more fun stuff added'
