Foot switch only I believe.babkubwa wrote:I'm thinking of selling my trigger finger and replacing with one of these pad kontrols -
does anyone know if the pedal input can take an expression pedal - rather than a foot switch
I'd like to be able to control the send pot of a drum rack channel for building up layers in augustus loop.
Just gone and ordered a FCB1010 of ebay - much heavier and messier than a padkontrol with expression would be!

I'm using this a hell of lot now guys.. you got me hooked..
would anybody be willing to donate to the coverts in order to see this made into a 2.0 release ? there seems to be a bunch of things on the wish list and i for one would be happy to donate if it helps speed development...

ive found a slightly annoying thing which i'm not sure if its a bug or just me.. i have a midi channel setup so that 1-8 buttons are mutes for tracks 1-8 so the lights should correspond to the mute status of each track. The only problem is i have to turn on the buttons on and then off again everytime i switch to this midi channel, to see the visual status of the mutes on the buttons. Ideally the lights would always correspond to the status of the mutes, but they don't. They only visually correspond once you've switched to the midi channel, then hit the buttons once, and again...

trying to get it to work on a mac.. but the manual is pointing out thing that arent in the mac menu of PK v2.0??
Set the "To PadKontrol 1 CTRL" dropbox to send MIDI to the "padKontrol CTRL" port.
Set the "From PadKontrol 1 Port A" dropbox to receive MIDI from the "PadKontrol Port A" port.
Click the "Enter Native Mode" button.
Now the display on the PadKontrol should read "T.C.O."
there is no padKontrol CTRL port
there is no Port A

So how are they named? I wrote down what showed up on my screen. It may be that different units give different port names, but thats Korg's fault. They must be named similar..bartvd wrote:trying to get it to work on a mac.. but the manual is pointing out thing that arent in the mac menu of PK v2.0??

FWIW, on OS X at least, the port name confusion arises because the ports have different names when you are running via Korg's MIDI driver instead of the OS X built-in USB MIDI driver. Took me ages to figure that out for LC Xmu microKONTROL support...
