does anyone know if the pedal input can take an expression pedal - rather than a foot switch
I'd like to be able to control the send pot of a drum rack channel for building up layers in augustus loop.
Just gone and ordered a FCB1010 of ebay - much heavier and messier than a padkontrol with expression would be!
Foot switch only I believe.

(on xp) after entering native mode and getting "t.C.o." on the display, i have to press "knob 1 assign" and pad 06 simultaneously, so the display shows "t.60", before live7 takes any input from my pk

I would pay upto $50 to get a fully working app without bugs.
When triggering clips, the lights sometimes do strange things.

ive found a slightly annoying thing which i'm not sure if its a bug or just me.. i have a midi channel setup so that 1-8 buttons are mutes for tracks 1-8 so the lights should correspond to the mute status of each track. The only problem is i have to turn on the buttons on and then off again everytime i switch to this midi channel, to see the visual status of the mutes on the buttons. Ideally the lights would always correspond to the status of the mutes, but they don't. They only visually correspond once you've switched to the midi channel, then hit the buttons once, and again...

I think Andreas is looking into hacking the MicroKorg.
Once he has that one hacked, it'll probably be blended with the PK Squared app and that will be the new version.
We'll try to get it finished. But there are only so much Covert Operators who like delving into sysex. (I aint one of them...)

trying to get it to work on a mac.. but the manual is pointing out thing that arent in the mac menu of PK v2.0??
Set the "To PadKontrol 1 CTRL" dropbox to send MIDI to the "padKontrol CTRL" port.
Set the "From PadKontrol 1 Port A" dropbox to receive MIDI from the "PadKontrol Port A" port.
Click the "Enter Native Mode" button.
Now the display on the PadKontrol should read "T.C.O."
there is no padKontrol CTRL port
there is no Port A

So how are they named? I wrote down what showed up on my screen. It may be that different units give different port names, but thats Korg's fault. They must be named similar..

I'll have to guess here.
The names of your inputs are:
padKONTROL 1 = MIDI IN
padKONTROL 2 = PORT A
padKONTROL 3 = PORT B
One of your two outputs is the CTRL output. You can only get it wrong once here.

FWIW, on OS X at least, the port name confusion arises because the ports have different names when you are running via Korg's MIDI driver instead of the OS X built-in USB MIDI driver. Took me ages to figure that out for LC Xmu microKONTROL support...

Thanks CovOps !
Now can I assign the x/y pad in Live ?
Midi map and Key mapping dont work for it.
