Hmm yesterday somebody from Akaipro.com told me that the timing may be close for my needs (i need them somewhere in May).
They're doing everything to speed up the production and delivery of the APC40. They will be doing a countdown to shipping on their website.
So why does musiciansfriend & guitarcenter say they can deliver from 20 Feb ?

isn't the apc40 coming with a Akai edition of Live 8? i guess i need to go back and read this thread from the beginning. but if that is the case, then does that mean that Live 8 will be released by 3/6 too?

The Akai edition of Live - not necessarilly Live 8, as far as I understand.

I think I just assumed 'cause I think I read somewhere that you could download a patch for it to work with Live 7

Yeah. If you have the full edition of Live 7, you don't wanna step down to the Akai edition. Rather add the patch.

When the APC40 is out - a patch will be available to get the full functionality within LIve 7. Live 8 will have full support from day one. At least that's what I hear from watching Namm videos and reading at Akai's website.

The guy I sold my Novation SL 25 to this afternoon (Craig's list) said that he is expecting his APC to arrive in two weeks.
I found it to be a funny coincidence. Because I can't tell if my selling reason was because I am done with hardware controllers or if I want the APC.
