Another superb performance from England - jeebus, this lot make Graham Taylor's piss poor England side of the early 90s with their route one tactics look amazing - I swear, Geoff Thomas, Carlton Palmer, Andy Sinton and co could not have played any worse than this. They look absolutely knackered, like they are running (usng the term loosely, my 85 yr old granny has more zip than this) around wearing two left steel toe capped boots full of lead.

Beating Slovenia is no means a certainty. My only consolation was Spain 82, where Italy played gash in their opening 3 games, drawing them all and with Paolo Rossi looking decidely average in failing to score in any group games, he then went on to hit 6 goals in the tournament as they went on to win...
