Actually most often middle income wages go up in relationship to the minimum wage, so it's all a wash. That's why I say the whole minimum wage thing is a farce. Nobody ends up ahead, we all just pay more. Look at the fantastic wages offeredby the big corps. that opereate in New York or Boston. $150,00 looks pretty nice on paper,but the cost of living in those cities is so high, they have to pay that much so their employees can afford to live there. A comparable job in Michigan might only pay 80,000, but the cost of living is less, so in the end it's a wash. Government messing with a market economy only adds undo regulations, red tape, and cost to doing business which in turn gets past on to you the consumer. Want to make a real difference in peoples take home pay? Get rid of the bloody payrole taxes. I could afford to pay much higher wages if I didn't have to match social security, medicare...ect. And I would pay maore to retain my better employees. I'd even like to afford to include some form of health insurance for some of my employees, but as the tax code is currently written, I can't afford to.

We can do this forever. Like I said, there is no proof that any of it works yet. There are people on both sides of this making all kinds of claims. So it's a useless battle we have going, and on that line i'll just say you won whoo hoo! BTW a guy on the net tried telling me that Depache Mode started Industrial music, and offered up internet news stories as proof. If you know anything about industrial music, you know how stupid that is, but the internet is where he got his information....

Another reason why real, meaningful, debate is useless online, and another reason to just say,

Like I said, I don't think we are arguing the same thing, so it's pointless. I don't disagree that these programs exist, I just think it's a waste of time and resources. The science of it is bullshit IMO.
Also, what exactly led you to think I HAVE to come up with three random sites? Why are you inclined to think that the loudest voice is the voice of reason? What is it exactly about large corporate media institutions that makes you think their reporting is somehow closer to the truth than other sources?
This is all about rational thinking to me, you can worry about ethnic bombs if you want to, but the truth of the matter is it's pretty much impossible to come up with a bomb or disease that affects only white people, that you can spread out into a population and leave only the asians etc... It's just not possible. You personally might believe that to be possible, and obviously a lot of politicians are throwing money at research to come up with something, but it doesn't mean they will be successful. That large corporate media outlets are printing these stories, and finding people to pump up the fear isn't surprising either. What this means is that some scientists will come up with some research that looks promising, and get nice fat paychecks.
Anyway, I'm going to enjoy Friday, and I harbor no harsh feeling about any of this, it's just internet blather.
