Hey Chris,

Thought you'd be interested in an email that I just sent to your paper, as well as other Guardian "watchdogs' on the 'net.

********

To Whom It May Concern,

One of your employees, I’m assuming a reporter, by the name of Chris McGreal and I were debating the contention that the IDF purposely targets Palestinian children. And while I think the assertion is ludicrous, the fact that this occurred on a music site, and that he used his Guardian email address:

oh, feel free to email some of your ;zionist; horseshit to: [email protected]

is an embarrassment to your paper. Moreover, it supports the assertion that the Guardian holds an anti-Israel bias, an issue that has been raised time and time again. I’ve included some of Mr. McGreal’s more inflammatory comments below. The rest can be found at this link:
http://www.ableton.com/forum/viewtopic. ... sc&start=0
I would imagine that any company would be ashamed to have one of their employees use slang and slander in the manner that Chris did, and then post the company email address on the same site as said comments. I’ve forwarded this email to other Guardian “watchdogs” as I’m sure they’ll be interested to know that their assertions aren’t due to mere paranoia.

Striemel,
Canada

Quotes by Chris McGreal:

but given the actions of nations such as yours, the most vile israel, and the usa
My problem is with the vile israeli STATE, and the united STATES of america, and the british EMPIRE.
this is why the IDF shoot obviously unarmed children ?
oh, and back to your lack of irony , i HATE henry ford. you fucking moron...
you're a hypocrit, and as a past member of the IDF your a cold blooded murderer.
Im not responding to that. you fucking cunt.
speaking for myself, the idf targets children.
i have a problem with the state of israel. you piece of dirt.
you are so full of shit
so you see....its quite clear, he;s an abhorrent piece of shit ?
but shreitmel the fucko...well, he tries to debunk the journalism of the guardian by sourcing jewish material.
ugh, you cocky son of a bitch. I had posted that before you even

Now that's sweet. Really, really rich. If you equate terrorism to Bush, claim that the US flew their own planes into their own building, claim that the US/Britain are more dangerous than Syria/Iran...you're of sound mind to use live. But if you hold contrary opinions you're...what, a Cubase user?

Computo, you're a great name caller, but not much of a debater. If you have any valid points re: fucking problems, I'd be glad to hear them.

Oh yeah.. Nothing new though.
I want to be shocked and owed

At this point, all i care about is knowing if Iran is going to attack Europe.
I'm not spooked quickly, but that headline on every newspaper made me shiver.....

Then the US crap like HAARP and that particle beam. Plus all the nukes they got all over Europe....

If you believe that the US leveled those towers. Then it's probably not that hard to believe that they would level the middle east.
Disneyland Baghdad?

Iran seems to be pissed about something....

It's like a chain of domino bricks.
The only thing i cant make sense of, is wetter the bricks are already falling or if they still need a push.

Boo hoo. You used a Live forum to post political conspiracy theories - which always attract the loons - and then bemoan your post. What did you think would happen?

Oy Forgie. At times, violence is necessary. I know it's hard for artists to conceptualize why crayons and play-dough don't usher in an era of peace and tranquility, but real evil exists and, at times, violence is the only option at hand. I thank God that there have been, and continue to be, soldiers and politicians who are brave enough to use violence when justified, yet humble enough to know when not to. It's choices like these that provide us (artists) the freedom to compose and market our music.
I suppose Shostacovich and Prokofiev would do the same. You servile trash.

Thank god for the benevolent government that enables my pathetic creativity.

You piece of slimy, gun-toting, boot-licking scum.

More name calling. Computo, if you have something to say, than say it. Otherwise, wouldn't you be better off reading a history book, or learning how to use Operator?

You're cute. If you think I sent the Guardian an email to "ruin" Ford's beliefs, your IQ is less than I'd imagined.

Which would be name calling. If that was your contribution, than congrats, you passed with flying colors.

Well lookee here...
http://www.fromoccupiedpalestine.org/no ... 74fa351aea

Seems our unbiased reporter Henry Ford (Chris McGreal) has no problem contributing unbiased articles to a site entitled www.fromoccupiedpalestiine.org

and even more unbiased reporting here:
http://www.selvesandothers.org/view101.html

Mr. Ford/McGreal is so infamous, he even made it into Camera:
http://www.camera.org/index.asp?x_conte ... journo=341

And that's why I find it useless debating bigots like Ford/McGreal.

why, because they report the truth?

you post an article from Democracy Now, as evidence of bias?

You've made more mistakes than you can recover from now.

The links I posted demonstrate a well known media bias, particularily in Europe and the Arab world, against Israel. Yet you seem surprised. Clearly you don't pay too much attention to the conflict. Now, if I posted articles from West Bank settler or Kahanists, you'd have a leg to stand on. Other than that, I stand behind the links I provided.

Computo...perhaps you're up to the task. Provide me with a link demonstrating a campaign of killing, in which the IDF target children. Not occurrences (because in warfare, many people die), but a systematic, proven strategy to kill Palestinian children.

When I was in the IDF, I don't remember hearing of such a campaign. Perhaps I was sick that day...the day our seargents told us to go shoot children. Alas, it happens ;)

You'd find more credible evidence that Palestinian terrorists SPECIFICALLY target Israeli citizens. Buses, cafes, dance clubs, weddings and Passover dinners were chosen targets to unleash their terrorism.

The only justification for an individual to accuse the IDF of targeting children is bias and hatred. And I believe your pal Mr. Ford lived up to those standards.
