Yer man Jamie Oliver's currently on a UK TV seriestouring the US in search of the best grindage.

Inspiring stuff.
i like jamie, he brought the fun into cooking shows and took the 'housewife dry style' out and also the snobbish cook star attitude a la gordon ramsey.

and of course keith floyd is great. RIP.

Some folk don't know nothin about that... if they did they wouldn't listen to Europeans who haven't had a proper taste either.

please please please post that recipe. :D please???

it's not even food by country it's food by region of the country. in the US along just pizza is a hotly contested food item. let alone the cheesesteak, hoagie or chowder.

The Benny Hill theme alone makes anything funny.

And Jamie Oliver is proof why no one from Essex should be exposed to the world.

seriously LOL-ing my ass off. Jamie Oliver is a bit amateur but AFAIK he hasn't been on US TVs for years, maybe he's better by now.

^^^ mmmm cheese steak..

I'm home sick with  intestinal issues and despite that minor (sometimes major) discomfort that still sounds yummy.

Fuck em! I like our food and our beer.

What I don't like is a large number of our franchises and their ability to manipulate minds at home and abroad with silly beliefs like McDonalds still makes hamburgers and Taco Bell sells Mexican fodd

Fact is I've eaten from a Taco truck that would blow your mind 8O and I've had great (American) chowders, soups, stews, sandwiches, cornbread, biscuits (not cookies), cookies, pies, cobblers, greens, beans, cheese and everything in between that would suit me just fine as the menu for the rest of my life.

beats me wrote:Just a theory here, but it seems like a lot of people who love Guinness seem to hail from countries that aren't exactly known for culinary excellence, so maybe your taste buds are a little out of whack.
What does Guinness and culinary have in common? Guinness and Stud/macho/male/sex-god have much more in common.
And if I dare say, Athletics.
