Since this thread seems to have degenerated into nothing more than flaming and trolling, I'd propose that I move it to the Lounge, where you're welcome to use your time as you see fit.

Any objections?

Best,
please.

Ableton life is not an industrie standard software like nuendo or protools..
Where is the use of certfied training when the beeing a certified trained user has asolutly no value out there?

As we can see in this thread it also dont helps the income of the rainer...

I think that certified trainer thing is a bit lame..
Hi 3phase,

If you're interested in learning more about the certified training program, please see http://www.ableton.com/certified-training.

You'll note that it's entirely voluntary. So if you think it's not useful, you're definitely not obligated to do it.

You'll also note that there are many solutions out there for music making. If Live is as awful for you as the majority of your posts seem to suggest, perhaps you'd be happier with another solution.

Best,

dont you think that the actual state is pretty awful? 8.13 is not running better than the betas before... and that the whole thing in general is still very much in a developing phase in allmost all areas... you allways find brillant new features nobody has asked for but never solve the basic issues from day one..so eve after 10 yeras the whole thing has a good exciting prototype feeling to it.. i guess thats the style... but ther are good sides that make it hard to replace..

midi clock out.. thats actually the main reason i stick with it.. live is superior there.. beside that you are the only pattern based sequencer on the market.. at least in software.. you can simultae it on the midi side with logic.. but in general that dont leaves one much choice :-/

however with such a fanboy base you probably can live with the darker aspects of the truth from time to time...

btw.. great that this fundraising campaign is finaly in the lounge.. your poor rectified rainer should have placed it there from the beginning..

maybe i should do a course for software developers regarding music electronics in stage situations and sequencer design in general.

so, what would you teach them, then? except how bad customers can behave if they have a too big ego?

that they should not make errors..? how about telling them to not do them? oh yeah right, you have no clue about that..

and autistic kid jokes really show your professionalism. or actual lack thereof.

no no..just about sequencers work and how improvisation with sequencers works..especially under the unideal stage situation...

its rather user interface design... these nerds are too trained to do work after a list.. so when they do musicsoftware it allmost is inevitable that this turns out to be closer related to a spreadsheet calculation than to a perpetum mobilee.
beside..they usually lack the experiance with the devices electronic musicans used in the past... te people with older experiance than the 90´s work for steinberg..
anyway.. i was joking.. they are getting there by themself... just very slowly

okay, there you could maybe help. but it's hard to satisfy user expectations there, as, as you say, they expect perpetuum mobilees. which, as you know, can't exist.

i personally don't see how they should care to support such old hw that no vendor has support for anymore anyways. it's a nice to have, but not really the main focus they should have. your view is different, based on having too much old stuff to rely on, obviously.

amazing, looks like you 'get there', slowly, too. nice. (no sarkasm here)

Yet another outlandish standment that could in no way be substantiated with facts. Just another 3phase 'gut instinct'.
