my boys are no where near the quality of the england players (individualy).
If they step it up and play well next week against slovenia, happy days.
if they put on another performance like that, i have no sympathy.

Gerrard was pants.. Rooney awfull! Carraiger looked a bit dodgy. Gareth Barry was in there with a good few tackles at the back. Hesky, different player from last week. Terry nearly gave a goal away. Aaron Lennon is a good wee player.

i couldnt find a single positive in that game. pathetic. poor passing the works. at the start we looked like we thought we would have 3 -4 seconds on the ball just to pass it around. i think how quickly algeria closed us down shocked us.

what happened to the tried and tested, down the wings and cross the ball in?

did they watch argentina mid week and think "you know what we can play football like that. lets walk the ball into the net and pass it around the box"

we got some after match interviews [you may not have seen in europe] gerrard was giving the usual "not good enough" talk. and the interviewer just asked point blank "WHY?". he didnt have a clue what to say. completely stumped him.

another point. green got all the flak after the last game [not from me]. well he wasnt on the pitch and it was the same story. toothless attack and a piss weak passing game. goalkeepers arent the problem.

As much as the players were shit, some(or a lot) of the blame has to go to the manager. I think his hard way of managing has back fired and they are all scared to make a mistake. So they make plenty.

And his substitutions were completely mind boggling. Wright-phillips for lennon? same player, changed nothing. wouldnt change formation until last 5mins?(should have changed at half time) no joe cole(most impact player England had on the bench). wtf. defoe for hesky, pointless, waited to long.
