When they talk about mp3's and the ability to use them within ableton I am assuming as sample loops? Can it render to mp3 is my question. It isnt explained in the live info off the main site under the links. It'd be nice to know. I am still upgrading anyways for other reasons as well as the mp3 support.

Hmm, has there been any mention of being able to choose program banks of external synths by name in Live? I was really hoping to see that come up in 5, but it doesn't look like it is. Regardless, this is definitely sweet and I'm excited!

I want to be a beta tester and either my spam filter is eating Ableton email or they haven't sent me anything. Can someone let me know how I can jump on board?

Thanks!

Maybe you are not, the beta invitation email went out to the first 125 beta testers on Monday.
The next round will be some day late next week

anonymouse seems to be looking for a way to disqualify himself from the beta phase by confusing innocent forum users? ;-)

;-)

guess who gets the most mails after faked beta announces in the forum:

a) the pope
b) steinberg sales team
c) ableton support

choose to your liking. but i'm sure all 3 have better things to do than calming down the resulting panic 8)
