time for some update:

blitchmyglitch and scratcher are now on my ftp. While the first was made from... scratch, eeeerm scratcher is based on phat conductor's rack, and I just made it fit my own way to play with samples.

Blitchmyglitch is a realtime glitcher that moves all the time. It uses a lot of different fx, redux, beatrepeat, grain delay... quite enjoyable if you like supercollider and livecut stuff.

Scratcher is a tool that lets you program scratches, turntable stop fx, reverses based on any loop that you will load in it. It's extremely addictive and funny.

Scratcher accepts 1bar loops only in order to work properly, that's the sole limitation. I've been struggling with clip auto to get rid of the glitches/flanging when switching to regular play but it's now close to what it's supposed ot be.

you can find them all here:

Agh! I am enjoying the shit out of scratcher! Thank you very much for this effort 8) never realised that could be done with Simpler!

Haven't even got around to bLitchmyglitch yet but will try it soon. SOON.

Here's a quick and fun one if you wanna make that chip-tune whatever kind of thing. It's a MIDI effect rack which consists of an arpeggiator and two pitch plugins.

Description:

Macro 1: Switch between minor and major (0 st + 3 st / 0 st + 4 st)
Macro 2: Turn sync off and on (millisecond rate or 1/x rate)
Macro 3: Change the rate with sync on
Macro 4: Change the rate with sync off
Macro 5: Change the release of each note.. Sort of a gate effect
Macro 6: If global groove is on, this will let you change the kind of groove
Macro 7: Transpose down to -24 semitones
Macro 8: Transpose up to +24 semitones

Tip: Try using the rack with the magical 8bit plugin with the waveform set to 25% pulse shape ;D

ONE PRIMITIVE BUT EFFECTIVE EXAMPLE FOR THE LAZY PUNKS IN HERE

Image

my whole setup for all i´ll do next year.

use it just simple for modularity and accessibility, due to all songs´ core is recorded live and directly to sketch. don´t want to reproduce pasts genre music, just have a common atmosphere and tweak all life of the few instruments in changing details/parameters. therefore the racks become the very basic modules (consisting of several grouped devices), and their carefully linked macros are the only controls next to external inputs from guitar and mic.

the whole layout is designed for the use of a pocket dial. there you got 4x16 endless rotaries, which makes it possible to control 8 racks on the flow. focus lies on chosing the right parameters to assign, reaching a maximum in flexibilty. there are 4 tracks (mic, gtr, synth, keys) with 1-4 racks. for instance operator is taken as synth, combined with midi tools (arp, chords etc.), grain delay and resonator using up 4 of 8 racks on its own, while the tune of vocals and simpler/keys is kept minimal. all rhythms come by the lfo of autofilter (based on the bubbleguitar preset), fed with guitar signals.

3rd party tools are only a monomaker, transverb, urs a series eq, csr room reverb, kjaerhus mpl and waves l1 (master track) and a waves gtr amp.

nothing enlightening, but lovely. that thing is all i need right now, guess there ain´t a problem to get original 40 minutes minimalistic electro dreampop apocalypto bedroom punk out of this.

bass splitter

Post by The Phat Conductor » Wed May 09, 2007 8:08 pm

www.thephatconductor.com/bass_splitter.adg

splits the bass into sub and top, to be compressed/limited/effected seperately.

knobs are set to default to zero position, increase them if you want to make changes.

*set your instrument to output a 0dB wave for best results.
**it also might be a good idea to put another limiter on your bass bus afterwards ;)

enjoy!

Hi,

I'm after the Glitch 3 for Windows effect rack but the Fileho link doesn't seem to be working.

Has anyone got it hosted anywhere else?

Well dude its not exactly the Windows version that was posted before. But what I've done is just modified the original by removing the Supatrigga Audio Unit. Now it should open on Windows just fine, even though I modified it on a mac. The only difference will be of course no supatragga. But its not a big deal as the supatrigga was really only used for reverse and stall FX.

If you have the supatrigga VST and want to use us it just drop it in the part of the rack labeled "(add supatrigga here)" and make room for it in the "chain". To do so press the chain button in that rack, right click the chain area, and select "Distribute Ranges Equally". ALSO check out the first post on the second page of the "Racks list " sticky. It has info on remapping the supatriggas macro maps.

Let us know if it works!

GLITCH3 WINDOWS (no supatrigga required)

Mellotron for Sampler

Post by bondegi » Sun Jun 03, 2007 3:16 pm

Oops.. posted it in the tips and tricks forum instead of replying to this post...
bondegi wrote:Been really impressed with the racks posted here so i thought i'd throw one up. It's a Mellotron for sampler. The rack contains multisamples of all the "tapes" from the original: Flutes, Brass, Choir, Boys Choir, String Ensemble, and "Watcher" (brass and strings).

It's compressed as a Live Pack and is around 10MB in size.

Enjoy.
