It's pretty weird this thread is still needed :?

By the way:

Has there been any official statement on this issue that I might have missed, other than the rumor it "may be corrected in Live 7"?

Please, someone tell me there has been a word from Abes, either in this thread or somewhere else, acknowledging that this is actually being actively worked on?

This would be a rad feature... but i'm not sure how they would implement it that window would get pretty large down there!!!... maybe there are pages on the panel?

in cubase you can automate every single parameter of everything.
it should be posssible in live, too.

+1

I was mad as hell when I found out. I even asked for a refund. They did not.

I'll second that. Keep the fight strong, boys and girls.

Can we at least have an estimate of when this problem is going to be fixed?

I'm betting on Live 10 or 12. Would be nice if they fixed it with 7, but I somehow doubt that when they have a new vocoder plugin to be worked on

Just for the record: You can use Kore to overcome the 128 limit somewhat. What you do is put an instance of Kore on the track and an instance of your VSTi into Kore (like FM8). Then you map your desired VSTi parameters to Kore's parameters (freely assignable) and in Live you automate those Kore parameters.

Here is an example showing parts of Kore 2's default mapping for the FM8 highlighting the desired ARP switch:
