It is said that you can use multiple APC40s at the same time and that there will be multiple boxes on-screen for what grids the different units are controlling. Does that mean that you can have have different device/track selected for each unit. Can there be more than one blue hand then?
If so, is this the case if you're using the APC40 and another different controller with instant mappings?

Professional Shark Jumper.
Which U.S. based online stores usually get large orders and send (in your experience) without much delay? B&H, Sweetwater, Djdeals.com, etc?
if you're not will to spill the beans publicly, feel free to pm me as well.

I would imagine so as this is currently the case with any two (or more) MIDI controllers.glitchrock-buddha wrote:It is said that you can use multiple APC40s at the same time and that there will be multiple boxes on-screen for what grids the different units are controlling. +1 for a simultaneous Australian release! God knows why companies feel the need to make us wait months for no reason. Its not like its a treacherous voyage in a spanish galleon... Just pack a bunch into a plane to Aus the same day as you ship to everywhere else...BinaryB wrote:Please Ableton... when do they get to Australia ?

Short answer: no, sorry.
Long answer: Mentioned in the firt post in this thread
"In one of the NAMM videos, somebody at AKAI proudly mentions a secret handshake between Live and the APC. But other reports seem to indicate that this unit just sends out MIDI. Does the device or Live send anything other than MIDI signals?
The APC Sends simple midi messages, and most of the banking and Session View control is handled internally in Live. Connecting another controller and selecting the APC40 preset will not work, even if that controller sends the same MIDI messages.
Will this secret handshake prevent us from turning a Monome + BCR into an APC?
Yes. "

ok but im more interested for the OTHER side: will Live send clip matrix as standard midi message, not contolling live from a device. I just want to display the session wiew on a touch screen (but with large cells, actually live is useless with a touchscreen, it's soon multitouch windows7 era and live is not able to handle even monotouch correctly). If the message are sent only if you have an APC, then it truely sucks. anyway Im quite sure the guys who managed to make the api hack will find a solution making that midi script open, why only APC or max users could benefit of the session view infos if not a commercial lock...dom wrote: The APC Sends simple midi messages, and most of the banking and Session View control is handled internally in Live.
