I actually went through the interview looking for information on the delays used in bitwig.Tarekith wrote:

it might not have that, but it is an interesting read...Grappadura wrote:I actually went through the interview looking for information on the delays used in bitwig.Tarekith wrote:

i like the initial notion of what he's saying here, but by the time you get to the last couple of sentences he is essentially admitting that 1.0 is little more than a launchpad for 2.0... (probably/understandably because they need some ROI) so if you're really trying to get at what Bitwig wants to be... you have to get past 1.0Given the range of tools and functionalities that are present in Bitwig Studio, is there a chance that new, less expended users might get lost in the features? Do you think Bitwig Studio might scare away people who don’t understand the technology yet?
No, I think it’s the opposite. I’ve been a Logic-head for a long time, and if I were a kid who was getting into Logic for the first time, it would be overwhelming. It’s such a big program now, with a lot of menus and functions. Since Bitwig started from scratch, we were able to make something that was very lean, like a Swiss army knife for music production that doesn’t jump out at you like a Microsoft Office package. It’s nice that people can use version 1.0 of this program and learn more as we continue to upgrade it. They can start by using our synthesizers and effects, and then in version 2.0, they’ll be able to open them up and see the modular system that we used to make those devices. This way, they’ll be able to grow with the program.
You of course realize this is just as bad as people future tripping on Bitwig before it's released right?eyeknow wrote:The ridiculousness of bitwig........

Actually, it was pretty funny. But you are too angry lately to see that (I have my suspicions)Machinesworking wrote:You of course realize this is just as bad as people future tripping on Bitwig before it's released right?eyeknow wrote:The ridiculousness of bitwig........

This entire thread and every one on the internet is just a venture into speculation. When it comes out and we all get a chance to play with it, then I suppose some actual comments pro or con can be made with anything approaching rational thinking. Until then all the naysayers and fanboys are just talking about a football team they've never seen play…
Right, I post laughing smiley, you post roll eyes, and I'm the angry one.eyeknow wrote: Actually, it was pretty funny. But you are too angry lately to see that (I have my suspicions)
