if you read the whole post i linked (or search for it) you'll find the needed instructions to load the 4 mappings on the nocturn.

Are the files still there?
I was looking if I want to buy nocturn and was looking into this thread, but the links seem to be not working or out of date.

Do you mean to say that if I pres Fx, then pres button 2, and them press mixer again, then the and buttons rotaries will start to control tracks 9-16?

Maybe it is a little bit offtopic, but I am now looking for portable controller for use in Ableton.
For now I am in a choice between korg nanokontrol2 and nocturn.
Korg has also faders and transport buttons, but does not have scenese in a version 2 (nanokontrol1 was scenable).

Nocturn does not have faders, but has this magic script and and endelss encoders.
Any opinions ?

nocturn with this script gets transport, clip launch and stop.. it's just a matter of time to get used to it, after more than one year using it i don't really have to look at the nocturn anymore when switching pages so i highly recommend the nocturn with this script, which gives you a nocturn on steroids.
i don't really liked the idea of setting mixer levels with knobs, but hey it's better than with the mouse for me, so i eventually got used to it.
Since it's not likely that i'll be able to afford a good fader controller i just stick with the nocturn.
and since my nanokontrol 2 (very handy for soloing without switching page like you have to do on the nocturn) stopped working with live 9, it's all about the nocturn for me.
i never had thought such a cheap controller could become my main controller! i already have a backup unit in case the first one goes beserk!

what version of automap are you guys using?
I tried to configure it before buying nocturn.
So i tried with launchpad.
i have the latest (4.6) and I could not find the way to assign mixer to output ch1, fx to ch2 and so on.

today bought a nocturn for me.
well, first it did not work I dunno why:(
something was happening with my laptop. And them suddenly it all became ok.

One thing - before installing the scripts there was a Nocturn in a list of my devices. I have no idea where it is stored (I am on PC, not a Mac, so Funk advise to clean nocturn script does not work). Finally I renamed a folder to nocturn 2 (to distinguish between original nocturn I have no idea where it comes) and in the end it rocks.!

Wow - full mixer control and much more for about 100$ (cost in Russia after taxes and customs fees).

Once one sets all the pages correctly and as they want, AUTOMAP must be exited and closed out in order to save these settings. In other words, if AUTOMAP closes when you shut downtown your computer, it does not save these settings and the configuration process will have to be repeated upon rebooting the computer.
This appears to be an issue with the AUTOMAP program.
I remember this being stated previously in this thread, or another similar thread about AUTOMAP.

This is an excellent script and I recommend it to anyone with a Nocturn.

quick update to share my experience with you guys:
after having successfully setup this script on my old laptop and my studio machine (and on a friend's computer) I had troubles getting it to work on my studio machine after a fresh OS install (upgraded to SSD).
I even went back and watched all the tutorials, written and videos, nothing.
Having tried many variables, I almost gave up until I had the following idea:
delete all the novation mappings files (.../novation/mappings/nocturn) and all the midi remote scripts in ableton I dont need (I just kept the ones relevant to my various controllers).
now it just works, I can use the guille script again.

i am on win7 64 bit.

maybe this "dirty trick" can help someone like it helped me!

for me it never works when i am using automap midi.
however connecting vie midiyoke works like a charm.

how could it work without automap?
nocturne is not a midi controller so without automap there is actually no device in the system.
