[OT] Man-made global warming : myth or fact?

Point #3 is not so well answered. It leaves the impression that warming has temporarily halted when that is not the case at all. This past decade of the 2000's has on average been 0.2ºC warmer than the 1990's. The 1990's were 0.14ºC warmer than the 1980's... That is not a halt in warming and it looks more like an acceleration.ethios4 wrote:Great article...thanks!adventurepants_ wrote:http://www.scientificamerican.com/artic ... n-nonsense

And now we're getting closer to what its really about...

Developing countries walk out on Copenhagen talks at the expense of the planet because wealthy countries refuse to hamstring their economies for the sake of the developing world.

I believe global warming is actually happening right now. I can really see the big changes happening. Like the heat of the sun. It's actually very hot compared to how it was back in the day. The supporting theories Mr. Al Gore provided was amazing. I couldn't agree more. and I believe that man is the cause why this is happening. But anyhow, if we are the cause of this, fear not because we are also the solution.

Yes, we idiots are raping our planet - but "climategate" is a totally dumb hoax, pure propaganda. They have thrown out all scientists who worked properly, and already had more PR-guys from the beginning on anyway... Cui bono? Follow the trace of money and power and you'll see, what's really going on. Greetings from the Bilderberg-conference!

I'm sorry, but could you point me to this so overwhelming data, that's not coming from either an internet site, mass media or governmental research? But rather to a complete (keyword alert) and thorough University (or similar body) research with unfiltered evidence based on observations gathered and not speculative forecasts? You might find it harder than you think.deva wrote: The data for man made warming is overwhelming and you and anyone else can form whatever whack opinions you want. It will not change what is so one iota.
The exact same can be said of those who believe in man made climate change... And each party has about as much evidence as the other, conveniently filtered to support their own claim.deva wrote:The conspiracy deniers are so invested in their position that it does not matter that they have no evidence to support their position...

Not sure what the point is anymore of discussing this topic on the internets.
You don't even have to ask 5 people to find one that can disprove global warming because it got cold in the winter. And that is just one of many fine facepalm worthy replies.
Al Gore.. What an attention whore.. (hey it rhymes
)
If only we had the power to drop people on a floating rock of ice along with a Polar Bear that just traveled 300km without finding any food. You know.. While we still got some left..

then all we need is about 300 million floating rocks with polar bears on em.
there could be money in this.
hmmm, now where can we get that much ice? - since its all melting?
Ah!! we build a gas and coal powered ice maker!!
hmmm, now where can we get the gas and coal...
Ah!! we exploit land and humanity and risk oceanic catastrophes!!
hmmmm, now what will we do with all the profit....
