one crash today... but not really surprised as i used Dblue glitch on purpose to see if it would crash live.

And YES it has crashed... really it's a lovely vst but even the last build is kind of problematic if you start playing to much with it.

Excepting this, no crash so far

I still have serous problems (crashes) with Native instruments. Not as much as in Live 8.1.1 but still enough to make me think it over and save before I use battery, kontakt, reaktor or massive. I´m working on a very clean production system and have no problems with Komplete on Logic 9. I as many others have had a really nice time with Live 7 as it was by far the most stable DAW at the time. Now with Live 8 I really like the new features and I´m looking fwd to get into M4L, but it´s not funny to have the DAW choose what plugs I can use...

I have tested this on both a 8core 2.8 macpro and a 17" macbook pro and have he same issues.

I would do almost anything to make Live stable, and I already feel I have done a lot by paying for a lot of updates and using a lot of time to clean install the OS and troubleshoot the hardware (ram, disks, pci cards etc.).

If any one out there has a stable Live 8 running (os x) with Komplete 6 and Waves please let me know!

OK

I've been confused since reading Gerhard's original quality statement about what issues in particular were being going to be addressed. Live is a large piece of software and surely there were specific problem areas...

My experience has been that Live 8.1.1 is solid on OS X - and I use a ton of AUs from a variety of companies. M4L clearly needs a lot of polish though, and it seemed to me like it was more to Cycling 74's quality standards than Ableton's. However, recently I've been working in Windows a recent project (using a lot of VSTs), and it was a completely different story. Constant audio glitches and crashes, and I had a lot of trouble narrowing it down to which plug-ins were crashing (seemed like several), and the lack of crash stack trace's like on OS X didn't make this easier.

So... are the main quality issues the VST crashes?

It seems i can crash 8.1.3 quite easily with an out of memory error, i think it's because of the max4live devices i have, i wanted to be able to have a patch n each of 8 tracks but it will only handle 4.....

Off to try and thin things out a bit?

Cheers

Cool. My snap crackle pop has vanished with 8.1.3 when I record new clips.

However,

Crackle still there whenever I change scenes or do anything on the Launchpad that involves the right hand side control buttons. meh.

Wicked crackle when I record into Looper. Interesting thing is that it always happens at the start of the 2nd bar, lol.

FUCK.
