I think israel should return the land they seized from 1967 up until the present. While I can sympathise completely with Palestinians who would still not be satisfied with that... as a member of the international community I'd be willing to recognise/support an Israel with pre-1967 borders. Coupled with that, some serious peace negotiations and major reparations made to the Palestinians and of course the exiled refugees right-to-return... and of course a major change of attitude.
I don't think that's too far-fetched, when you consider everything the Palestinians have lost & endured.
I also don't believe that would be an instant source of peace, but it's certainly the right direction.
if you're not familiar with how the map has changed from 1947 - present day, you should have a quick google.

I also agree that '67 lines are appropriate..
as for attitude..
I think that mostly depends on our neighbors to the north east and south..
but if there are peace agreements... it'll change with time I believe..when trust is gained
and stereotypes discarded
(when the "enemy" become a friend)
even in the quest for peace there are haters trying to stir up emotions..
there are people (fanatic stupid hateful fucks)
on both sides who actually want the fires to burn..
establishing TRUST is the hardest thing.. especially where the motives are unclear..
it's so fragile around here.. always

In bold, this is the clincher really, as the stronger power in the region it's up to your country to start the process.
Face it, at this point history says very clearly that your military can very easily inflict 10 times the damage the 'others' can.
Until that changes it's your card, all the 'other' side has is terrorist attacks which by their nature are not supported by every person on that 'side'.
Yet politicians blame everyone in a country for the mistakes of a few, both sides are guilty of that.
The main thing though is your country has the territories, your country has the upper hand, you barely lose even propaganda wars.
That puts your country in the drivers seat so to speak.

Sensible and fair. The reparations would be a deal-breaker for a lot of moderate Israelis I would imagine; depending on the form they would take and how they would be distributed.
