In hindesight?! For once you not feeling the need to piss in my cereal, again, would have been nice...

But it was not meant to be, I guess...

Did I really piss in your cereal? I thought that would've been minor at this point.

But considering the public is aware of these implications, do you think when people are having important communications (imagine deals between corporations, not just political leaders) that they'll go off the rails for something said off of twitter or facebook?

I would imagine important dealings would be dealt with more directly and even so, confronting and confirming something the military injects would also seem like a realistic thing to do before going off on a tirade.

And do you not think all the previous efforts by military, media and advertising is moot?

But this is in all cases more about everyday communications and relationships.
So not: "The bomb will go off at 3" instead of "The bomb will go off at 5".

But rather: "My fellow brothers in our good fight, please.." changed to "You better,.... or else"

And that constantly, always in the algorithmically determined correct doses send in the most efficient manner, on all relevant channels.
It's about guiding the masses to do your bidding and to stay out of your way.

It's not even so much about 1984 and just the military and governments using it. But every media organisation, add agency, political action group.
Once these tools are developed it wont take long until everyone will have it.
I don't think this development is stoppable, it will happen.
The interesting discussion is about the consequences.
And the whole going offline/off grid discussion is a cannard. Nobody does this, and the few who do, will stop mattering the moment they disconnect.

Yes, that's what I had in mind.

I imagine the consequences will be that security will increase against those injections and it just keeps inflating not unlike viruses and immune systems.
The thing is is you, all of us, our parents, grandparents, etc have already seen the consequences multiple times on many scales, it just never made it into the public, or you'd have to research to find it out.

I disagree and it's one of those things that I think you make a mistake of disregarding.

Still, if my point is 'so what?' (not quite),you deserve a better conversation than that. Where is it?

Are you seriously first posting roll eyes and stupid pictures instead of arguments and are now complaining that I'm not good enough a conversationalist for you?! 8O

I'm speechless :x

That was easy to misunderstand though.

Regarding the question: the ones who used to care about topics like this were either banned or started disregarding the Lounge as a forum for these kinds of discussions after the politics ban.

It may also have something to do with the thread titel

(But then the titel seems to keep the mods off our backs  )

Speaking of I don't think FIFA building the stadium has been discussed, either? but hey it's your thread.

That's more precise :-)
but hey it's your thread.
I only said I have every right to be as serious as I wish in my own thread, without you telling me that I'm not obeying the unwritten rules of non-seriousness that the Lounge apparently must have... (why else would you harp on about it everytime I decide to post something...).

You can certainly suggest any train of discussion you wish, and the one mentioned is certainly fitting.

The harping is mainly about the hopeless doomsday attitude and the rest is just making light fun of whoosh-isms.

I'm curious if more informed parties find this piece of 'journalism' to be accurate and unbias  .

fifa is a corrupt organization.

dutch lost the semi finales, don't know if we had any chance against germany, but that is all irrelevant right now, cause our country had a national disaster after scumbag putin killed 193 dutch people that where in the flight mh17.

i also find heiner "deutschland" mueller much more interesting than mr. Violenz. So I am out.

good that we already identified the guilty party, world politics is always such an easy, black and white thing, isn't it ;-)

What does that even mean, and why should I care?!
