So...it´Live 7 now, how much more future we have to deal with?

not much of future if we have to manually CHOOSE which 128 parameters we want to be able to control, if you ask me. It would be an upgrade from neolithic times to the stone age, and last I checked we're in the 21st century.

Again, it would NOT be difficult to design a GUI in Live to accomodate ALL vst parameters simply by have a page up/page down button to scroll through them (think of how one scrolls through multiple pages in drum racks, only unlimited) and a text box to instantly jump to a desired page.

If they want to really be on par with the rest of the DAW world they could also implement a "jump to last tweaked parameter" button so one could easily assign midi or automation without having to search through a long list of parameters.

You know, for some reason this is the first time the absurdity of this hit me with full force :D ... I've been complaining about this nuisance just like everyone else, but after reading this I also burst out laughing at the whole thing.

It's just laughably inefficient that this limitation is still in place, likely all the way through four major version generations. It's like watching an audio software gag from the Monty Python guys. "Live will most likely never support more than 128 parameters for plug-in automation at the same time. Nudge nudge!" Christ.

Female or Black president futuristic enough?
If McCain wins, you'll have to wait until 2012.

My American sarcasm was clearly lost here. I neither expect this to be fixed prior to an integer version update.

Maybe some enterprising bright young mind could write a little software plug which would hold AUs and VSTs and would accomplish this?

Perhaps there's something out there already...?

I mean something not quite as expensive/bloated/complicated as Kore.

Please fix this problem!! It makes dealing with vst's with lots of params a serious pain

How many votes will it take to get this to the top of the TO-DO list? It seems like the proverbial low-hanging fruit to me.

I sent them an email requesting this, maybe others should do the same?

Also they have a survey on their main page, in it they ask what 3 features would you most like to see, so input there would be great! Plus you can possibly win some stuff :)
