Huh? I have an iPhone 4 and an iPad 2 and the screen resolution may be better on the iPhone 4 but I don’t notice it at all. This is one of those areas where I think people are just looking for something to complain about and if the spec differences weren’t made public they probably wouldn’t even be aware of it.

Sorry, but I notice it too. I love the retina display, can't wait until the iPad has it too.

Exactly when is this noticeable? When you’re pinch zooming down to the molecular level?

But seriously, give me an example of something I can test this on to see the difference.

For me it's dead obvious on any text, or even the corners of the buttons of the keyboard. You see the rough pixelation compared to the iPhone4. It's not a huge eye sore or anything, but I definitely notice it straight away when going from the iPhone to the iPad.

Or maybe you’re jealous of me because I have a perfectly enjoyable experience on either device and don’t notice what you guys are going on about.

So the fact is sucks to be you.

I won't argue that a retina display wouldn't be better but in some cases you need to take your complaints to the developers. Some are lazy when they supposedly make a HD version of an app and it's little better than when you just 2X the iPhone version. Also some developers released updates taking advantage of the iPad 2's processor and while the app still works on the iPad 1 it looks like shit compared to the iPad 2.

I checked out a couple apps and I can see where the complaints might be especially on text but there's other apps where the text at the same size looks great.

Fair point :)

Given apples cloak and dagger approach I think developers have to rush to get compliant despite the sdk being released before launch. It doesn't always reveal all the features.

Eitherway. I ain't complaining , I have an iPad. How could I be unhappy? :D

According to some study on European iPad sales most people are either buying the highest end 64GB 3G model or the lowest end 16GB wifi only model. So I guess people have either really high expectations on usage or really low.

Anybody on here that got the 16GB wifi only model feel they should have gotten a higher model?

16GB wifi only here. I haven't run into any storage issues, and I don't foresee that. I'd have liked to get a 3G version just to access online stuff anywhere, but it's not worth paying for the monthly data plan on top of my iPhone plan for me. Plus on the go I'm more likely to have the phone with me anyway.

I’ll admit 3G isn’t necessary for everybody. I have it and pay for it but couldn’t tell you the last time my iPad needed to hit cell towers. It’s probably more important if you use the iPad for heavy business or school use. My work has wifi but IT won’t give us the password for personal devices so the 3G has come in handy a couple times at work but I don’t bring my iPad to work that often.

But I could never deal with just a 16GB drive. I have the 64GB and maybe only have 8GB available right now.
