of all the dumbshits that I think could have been TITBAG, it could not be evon, for example. TITBAG wasn't THAT retarded. I also don't think it was a group account, his crap read like the same person. it was someone without a good rep, I write that because TITBAG fell out of character once people liked him. someone with a good rep would get that validation from their original account and could keep TITBAG in character.

I have no interest in entering the "other" argument taking place...

claim that someone can achieve the effect of a 20 minute long composition in 3-4 minutes when in fact, it's impossible. for the record, i'm not even a big villalobos fan, just offended by your ignorant statement.

...but to lay this to rest, I clearly did not state that. I did state that where some artists take 3 minutes, others take 20 minutes. I did also state that my preference lies with the former, but clearly the ignorance lies with you: your reply insinuates that I don't believe that 20 minute compositions are worth anything because of my attention span which you claim to know about, and it also implies that I'm ignorant because of this statement which I never made in the first place. Stop your sniping, and grow up.

Hey, almost ten months later and this topic has gotten about as much accomplished...as it did in the first day it was posted. Sweet.


Everyone here should consider getting rid of their internet for a while - it's obviously not worth what you guys are paying for it (or you'd get more out of it than this, I imagine), and it's not like you all don't have some decent porn stashed away on your hard drives, thus negating the need for the internet almost in its entirety.

I wouldnt dream of using only Ableton instruments in a piece. You gotta bring in some analog. Otherwise, I doubt Ableton colors anything anymore than any other software.

Each to their own, m:o, but part of the problem is, where Villalobos needs 20-30 minute tracks to say something, others will need only 3-5 minutes.

and to this i still say you're missing the point. There is a reason that someone would chose to make a longer composition. you don't have to like it, but you are a complete idiot if you can't understand that the two things are not comparable.
