THOSE SONS OF BITCHES AT AT&T!!!!!!!!

As I posted in another thread.

http://gizmodo.com/5563909/apple-iphone ... l-disaster

But it gets worse. A lot of people are getting at least past the step in the process that connects to your existing AT&T account effectively locking yourself into another 2 year contract, but everything past that step is fucked! So they get your 2 year contract agreement and you don't get your phone.

After many many tries I got up to what I thought was a complete order process letting me know I can pick the phone up at the store on the 24th but I never got an email confirmation and therefor I think it didn't stick.

No mood for TouchOSC troubleshooting tonight for above mentioned reasons.

In other fucked AT&T news they offer several data plans one of which is $30 for unlimited data. Then they FINALLY allow tethering but tethering is $45 AND has a 2GB monthly limit. Fucking rapist assholes.

Yup, complete shit. Expect all the other carriers to follow suit.

The only hope is what Google has been prattling on about: amazing, nationwide wifi at super low rates. Oh, and a bazillion times faster. 3G? 4G? meh. The phone companies are shooting themselves in the foot, and this is just a last gasp before the blood flows.

Ooo. That's rather dramatic, isn't it? Yikes.

Just got my email confirmation that my iPhone will be on hold at the store the day of release BUT they are only holding it until the store closes that day. (motherfuckers) I work that day many many miles away from the Apple store and I'm predicting long lines.

Anybody been to an Apple store the day of a release? Anybody following this thread other than me and LSZ?

I may return to the LiveControl headache tomorrow.

You know he'll just use the chance to demonstrate a fart app while nonchalantly mentioning that the new iPhone can also be controlled by clenching.

Just wanted to remind people this is AT&T's fault, and not Apple's directly, and we all have/had that intimate relationship with somebody that completely defies logic to those who know us best, but it seemed like a good thing in the beginning.

AT&T is the hot chick turned fat and lazy once she got legally tied to your phat bank account.

Hey LSZ.

I'm sure you are aware of this because you are part of it

but I really don't feel like being a beta tester.

Just want to remind people that its humanity's fault not just BP's directly. We all have a relationship with gas pumps and the fat wallets they stuff. It seems like a good idea when we're driving to pick up our new iThings.

SUPPLY AND DEMAND BITCHES! LIMIT THE SUPPLY  DRIVE THE DEMAND  and SUV's

lol, No pain, no gain Broham. Pony up and start 'a testing.

But yeah, this app is a home grown project from a lone individual and he's still refining.

Then again, the 'pro' version known as midipad? Vaporware.

Are you mocking me? Yes, I think you are.

But you couldn't be more accurate with your comparison. AT&T's relationship with Apple is just as criminal and far reaching as the BP oil spill. Executives from both companies need to be marched through a Chinese police station with ziplok bags of heroine duct taped to them and punished accordingly.

Hmm, let's take a quick review, shall we?

Apple = iPad
Everyone else = nothing

Damn. It's like the entire industry kinda said "fuck it. we'll never do any better."
:|

It would actually be funny if it weren't so pathetic.
