In Live8 shift+arrow up/down doesn't only transpose notes an octave up/down in clip view, it also works in the pitch plugin!

cut time - ctrl(cmd), shft x
duplicate time - ctrl(cmd), shft d
paste time - ctrl(cmd), shft v
delete time - ctrl(cmd), shft x delete
insert silence - Ctrl(cmd), I
omg love it!! has this been here the whole time or is it just in live 8.. i have no idea but i just discovered it
i discovered insert silence then deduced that the others must exist and they do..i bet i gain a couple of weeks of free time over my life span by using these functions

discovered this a few weeks ago, but it's been giving me smiles throughout this all-day/all-night session today:
select time anywhere (arrangement time, or in a midi clip, or in audio when warping), then double-click the zoom area... zooms to fit selection

I think he means the start arrow when looking at the sample within sampler.

TIP:
To add an effect to an individual cell/chain on a drum rack, you can simply drop the effect from the browser onto the cell itself, rather than at the fiddley end of its device chain.
