WHERE APPLE IS BLOWING IT IN THE MOBILE BROWSER DEPARTMENT:

I was in the browser that's in the Zite app, very basic. When I tap in the URL text a pop-up comes up with "Copy URL" as an option.

If I want to copy a URL in Safari I have to finger bang the hell out of the URL text and either drag the brackets on either side to enclose the whole address or if I'm lucky the "select all" option might come up, after either I then have to select "copy".

:x

In a recent Bing app update (yup, Microsoft) they added a function where you can "lasso" any group of words on a page and an option on the pop-up is "search" which of course instantly opens up a page with the Bing search engine results for that selection.

If I want to do this in safari, well, I just fucking can't.

:x

A friend of mine told me that you can jailbreak an iPhone and get an app the can allow you to tether Internet acces without a fee. Is this true? If so, that's a much cooler dilly than being able to AirPlay stuff to a TV (in my book anyhow).

A new work computer, Beats? I thought the "work" phase was over?

I believe the cell service providers put a smackdown on those apps. You'd get a pop-up message that essentially said "We know what you're doing. Knock it the fuck off or we are going to start charging you for tethering."

With just about 24 hours to go until I was looking at unemployed the new owner gave me a zero hour job offer. I laughed, cried, puked, and then accepted. Or    then

Excellent weekend for me...

Get HUGE raise :D

Rent a limo and go see one of my favs - NOFX

Hungover and smelling of scotch and cheap wine, proceed to my local electronics store and purchase a new iPad

Who needs to worry and fret about retirement when you gotta spend hours looking through old threads and the app store to get the latest what you want gizmo.

I'm not usre about providers in other companies but I have a wifi tethering app(MyWi) on my Jailbroken iphone 3Gs. I pay a $40 unlimited internet access / data plan. I use it for my laptop or iPad. No pop-ups or anything. I can use it al I want. Then again, I live in Japan and I'm not sure about providers in other countries.

iPad 2 Jailbreaking came out yesterday. It's ridiculously fun to play MAME / NES games using a wiimote. I've also got a custom theme on it now! Yay!!!

My iPhone is jailbroken, and I run MyWi for tethering, rather than paying AT&T yet AGAIN to use the internet I pay for... (I also use a Microcell, which entails sending my phone calls from home out over my already-paid-for-internet, and AT&T still uses my minutes for it).

I am far from a heavy user, it's just for emergencies, vacations and occasionally tethering my iPad if there's no WiFi around, but I've had no issues.

I like that building but the part that's missing is the Unicorn Chamber; where they chain up several unicorns against their will and milk them for their Magic Dust.

Yeah, it's taking a real beating in the press. And to think I had faith in HP at one time... :x

Samplewiz is ace. You can touch anywhere in the waveform you recorded and it plays from that point and touching it higher or lower on the screen sets the pitch AND with multitouch you can chord it up. 8O

bro that could be a coincidence, but it's more likely that it was a subtle warning. "we can see you". a tech typically asks or warns someone first rather than randomly taking over. the real coincidence is probably just that you happened to be misbehaving when they found you.

tread light.
