We're not allowed to discuss race here.
Don't attempt humour Trollt, that's my department.
That's unforunately not humor! Check the race-Olmos thread, to see how freely we are allowed to discuss race here!

Question: How do you know when conventional wisdom on a topic is bullshit?
Answer: When you're not allowed to discuss it.

I wouldn't go that far, but this vanessa person seems to be a little oversensitive on the issue and unfourtunately has the power to shut down threads. (Without even explaining herself!)

what
Well, according to you, Fascism can only exist with Socialism present. Since there is no Socialism anywhere, you obviously would have to think that Fascism is no threat in the present. Ergo: you don't fight it in the present.
Anything wrong with my reasoning?!

You are confusing socialism and socialism, fascism and fascism.
Socialism can be an economic and social structure with the workers democratically running things. This has never existed. But socialism is also a movement. As Marx said:
"Communism is for us not a
state of affairs which is to be established, an
ideal to which reality [will] have to adjust itself. We call communism the
real movement which abolishes the present state of things. The conditions of this movement result from the premises now in existence."
Karl Marx. The German Ideology. 1845
Part I: Feuerbach.
Opposition of the Materialist and Idealist Outlook
A. Idealism and Materialism
The Illusions of German Ideology
http://www.marxists.org/archive/marx/wo ... /ch01a.htm
Likewise fascism can mean a fascist state like Nazi Germany, a mass movement that's not actually captured power like the Nazis around 1930-33, or simply a state of mind and an ideology as in an individual fascist, a person who believes in some of the principles of fascism (eg denying free speech, persecuting socialists, victimising minorities).
We've been over this, no need to repeat the discussion. Maybe me pointing to your moto, was not appropriate. Let's drop it, nothing new is gonna come of this discussion.

He's also confusing socialism and socialism with socialism. Maybe it's a language thing (most people here are brainwashed anlgoamericans), but in Europe socialism usually means socialism and not socialism. Also, fascism can't exist without fascism, as I have previously explained.

I especially like how I managed to conflate the myrnova and funken personas into one über-douche.

"il tipico anarchico antifascista"

we usually get banned (by fascists and such)
No, I think I've been nearer the mark on several occasions.

fucking awesome. yesterday... i logged in and saw the return of the Princess Xenophobia... she snagged me with a hook 80-90% of the way in my cheek... so i yanked it out and logged out...
i came back to see what generalizations and accusations i'd missed and how off the mark and skewed the perspective could have been twisted by now... only to read a page of funken arguing with himself.

while reading what seemed to be some serious man in the mirror malaise i realized that i had read all this yesterday... oh snap! the Princess has been nuked from orbit.
someone in a country shaped like a boot is cursing "
angloamericans" while accusing our new mod of being one of the brainwashed ones with the certainty and ferocity of a honey badger.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
