Luckily UK Novation support has a member of staff that has evolved to homo sapien. When I reported the battery problem, he told me straight away about the assembly issue and also told me how to fix it myself without invalidating the warranty.

So Kudos for honesty.

P.S this doesnt mean that the people assembling the product are any less a bunch of blind primates.

monkeys ? Would you do quality work for 20$ a month living dozen people in one room shack in a slum?
