oh, I'm sure there's a lot more to the case...I just had a brief conversation with my friend. I don't know if he'll be able to talk about it much since he's a juror, but I'll post results.

I have a friend in the army who works the white house switchboard, screening calls, and they get calls sometimes from people who just call and talk shit about the president, screaming and such. They send people to investigate those...ya never know these days....

Yeah, probably nothing to do with Bush, but I'm interested to hear more details about the letter and the guy's history.

WE'VE GOT CONGRESS !!!!!!

Now for the senate. Montana, Virginia, C'mon baby.

Even if we don't get the senate, we have enough to pummel bush. Ya know, he woke up this morning very bummed out. Rove, Cheney, Rummy...Crushed.

Those dick heads are gonna get chased down for two years straight. What fun.

Well, in the congressional race here in washington the vote is very close - I'm glad I voted (it's like down to a percentage point)

I didn't vote republican or democrat for the senate seat because they're both stupid, even though my man didn't win

I'm happy for the democrats, I hope we see some change round here and people's attitudes change, for the better

and the 4 foot strip club rule was rejected !!!!!!!

the only thing that will change in the next two years is:

It'll be right wingers calling Nancy Pelosi a "stupid cock sucking idiot" and left wingers defending the stupidity of the people they elected into office.

and it will probably mean the end of my favorite OT threads in this forum now that most of you think something was actually accomplished.

Surely this is a joke.

Well if the dem's can't show and prove - you may get another BUSH in 2008

the people want positive results from whoever they elect to office and when they don't get those results, they speak

i.e. this midterm election - so if the democrats can't get up in there and so something, you can almost count on another BUSH

True, I don't a group of BS'ers on either side, we have to hold our politicians to the motives of the people, not just the motivations of party lines and perpetual re-election...

Right. Also it's easy to say their all the same bs artits. But the fact is it's nothing new and it's true with everything. it's way too simplistic. The fact remains, and history points out that it matters who has power. Might as well say that historical events would have been the same with anyone in power. No way. Accountability is the peoples responsibility no matter one's level of frustration with it. If one is not doing a single thing about there influence as a voter, then don't engage in the rhetoric either. If it's pointless to you, then....
