Love the Ikea drawers/bins as stands!

just using the saffire as an interface
the user manual says:
"it (the DO8 ADAT interface) provides you with digital access to channel direct outputs, master stereo output,
4 stereo returns and channel line inputs."
so ...
you can use the channel strips as seperate MONO INs + the master output as a STEREO IN.
the OUTPUTS of the interface go to: the 2 Channel strip INs, and the 4 Stereo INs for the A, B, C, D Line Channels.
I guess the firewire solution works the same way, but i am not sure.

thanks ...pretty weird..
there aren't any on-board 'selectors' for the digital inputs..
any way glad to hear you like it..
I have a TL Audio IvoryII compressor..
it's actually pretty great for the guitar !
(has a hi-Z input on the front..).

Have you tried making them smaller?

I adore your cat too.
What model is that Euphonix?
System 5MC
Noice, I thought the 5MC had more faders, I guess it is customisable.
How well does Ableton work with Cubase in rewire?
The 5 MC comes in customizable configurations. I wanted a larger one but it wouldn't fit in our room LOL!
Ableton works ok..no plug in usage though so that bums me out. it's passable that's it. You kind of lose the functionality and intuitiveness a bit with no plug in usage.

I am also looking at maybe getting getting a system 5-mc in 16 or 24 fader configuration
how is life with it??
a thing I dont know is.. does it have built-in preamps??
It does what it does...it speeds up your workflow immensely when the DAW is Eucon enabled. It's just a large customizable control surface. No preamps.
Life is a beautiful thing when it's handshaking with a Eucon enabled program. HINT!

Are those Ikea shelves? If so, how did you remove some of the dividers and keep it sturdy?

Don't stack anything heavy on top of the slots where the divider should be!
Really, the only divider I removed was the one in the middle so I could fit the turntable. Those are empty boxes on top of it. The vinyl are all stored on the lower bins. And of course it helps to bolt it down to the wall. Very sturdy those Ikea Expedit shelves are!

I bought the 2x4 ones. Tables fit on top perfectly and I'm putting vinyl in them. I've been tempted to buy the 5x5 one for in my living room. And it would be cool to removed one of the dividers so I can fit some TV equipment in there.
Thanks!

Also, how do you like that desk? Have you ever had to move it? Do you know if it comes apart easily and reassembles well? I've wanted that desk for a while but I don't have a permanent area for my stuff yet. It doesn't look like it would fit through a standard door easily, so unless it comes apart and reassembles easily, I won't be getting it for a while.

The desk is a Studio RTA Producer Station. Best bang for the buck studio desk imo. Comes unassembled so you can assemble it in your room. Took me less than an hour. Easy instructions just like the ikea stuff. Very sturdy too!

The Producer Station comes apart very easily for relocation. It would not fit through a standard doorway when it's assembled, but if you take the monitor bridge off, it fits through with very little trouble. If you're in the Southern CA area, by chance, I'm selling mine for $300.
