Hidden Driveways wrote:This is a look that you can use in multiple settings. The key is getting a thin-ish sweater paying attention to details. You don't want the neck-trim (for lack of a better term) to be frumpy or bulky or nerdy. The plaid button up under a nice sweater like this is with a sweet looking pair of pants or jeans or whatever is my latest discovery:

This will work in a club, at work, on a date, with the family at Thanksgiving.
I can't believe this thread exists and I'm posting in it, but whatever. This shit is hard.
This is good... I'm not so down with brown (belt... and I hope the shoes!) but it's a good look and one that certainly is acceptable at a club, matched with some nice lace up shoes such as Simples, Vans or even Converse.

Sure, we all have our challenges but try living in Cleveland! I do about 50/50 on shopping here in town and online. I'm sure the selection in San Jose trumps anything you are going to find here in Northeast Ohio

Fair enough, but how about posting what you think BM should wear to da club.
oh no, too easy...
OK, now that that's over with...
I wear a t-shirt that doesn't smell, loose fit jeans and comfortable shoes.
BM's seen me at the clubs, he knows what I wear. when I'm not in a t-shirt I like short sleeved button downs, square cut, simple subtle small pattern, jeans (little baggy) and I luvs my Fleuvogs.

grey on blue.
usually I wear the typical Adidas, black on green.
Dickies, True, Lucky (jeans), Quicksilver and some other local brands, great thing about living in a major city, don't have to resort to the Gap.

I hear you on the Adidas and the t-shirt (that doesn't smell) but I have to give you thumbs down on the Dickies, Lucky, Quicksilver, baggy jeans and especially those Fleuvogs.

I mean honestly, those shoes look like they caught on fire... and I wish they had.
And then that heal... wow. I haven't seen a heel like that since, oh, I dunno... maybe the mid 90's. Remind me of Doc Martins without the Madness approval...

cheers! like Docs the soles can be replaced. I love those shoes, they feel like you're walking around in stomp boots but they're regular shoes. great to dance in, spongy and great grip. I've also had their boots and another pair similar to these.

that repeating design are angels, the text reads
"The Seventh Heavan Sole
resists alkali, water, acid fatigue, satan.
Hevea tree latex
Walk In Peace"
bummer about the satan part, but it's worth it.

most of my wardrobe is purchased at walmart... dickies, white tees, wifebeats, fruity loom drawers and socks, and long sleeve shirts, all year round. three-four days of clothes cost what my boots cost

that's for work. i wear sweats and pajama pants kickin round the house. i wear shorts and board shorts out and about, usually with printed tees (i have an assload of concert tees, and a few funny ones), also year round. if it gets cold i layer up & wear long johns (yes, even under my shorts, lol) and hoodies. i love hoodies.
i wear EVERYTHING to shreads. i have a couple of pairs of dickies which i don't wear to work, so if i want to look nice, i can, usually with mexican wedding shirts, or other nice short sleeve button ups. i usually buy a new pair of skater shoes whenever i trash out the previous pair. i also rock some teva sandals, same pair for years. i like wearing argyle socks, when not at work. i also have a couple of nice sweaters...
i think i might have a couple of pairs of jeans, but i really don't wear jeans any longer. i don't have any probs finding shit in my size, XL, 36/32. shoes can be a bit trickier, 12's can be difficult to come by. i refuse to spend "dept store" prices. i gives a fuck about impressing people with my "label", i like what i wear, and it makes me comfortable.
then again, i always look good, even scrubbin, just ask your chick.

thelike5 - oh, sorry, I thought you weren't being a dick for once, my bad.
dcease- hoodies, can't forget the hoodies! I've learned to wear one to the club, toss it in the corner, if it's there at the end of the night great, if not, oh well, it was just a hoodie. with the weather here those things are perfect.
