Maybe your problem is in the "lyrics". If you like textless nonsense like Jackass and think anyone can create just "nasal voices" then I am not entirely sure wether you really listened to what the characters spoke.

Each to their own. I enjoy the shows you mentioned, but Python still brings a smile to my face.

you can't really judge vintage comedy by modern contexts. python was truly left-field and pioneering in its day and the scope of its influence is indesputable.
