Hey, yesh I see your point, but its a very early genre and has a long way to go I feel, its not heavily original, but its got more to say than most current genres, I hope it continues to evolve..

thing is it's not new it's pretty old but I guess it depends on when you started listening

i guess since right before kraftwerk, but if you mean more with in a modern musical timetable i'd say way back when people started putting their beats on cds and scratching them up and playing them, actualy that was the first official non programming technique but peeps were using that like people use dblue glitch now, cause they wanted to emulate the programming that was being done by alot of artist but didn't want to have to do the programming
but before all that people were doing it on vinyL
