Forked out for some CDs (for the first time in an age)
Only Built For Cuban Linx - Raekwon
RZA Instrumentals - RZA
Collection of Classics - GZA
I love my Wu Tang I do! Ehehe. Going to go start my 'crate digging' fiasco soon; I need some samples, else I'm never going to become the next RZA!

I tell you he has gotten shitty in his old age. I liked when he was more gritty. The last Wu record was weak as fuck. The only two that have been making good tracks still are ghostface a rae. Meth fell off a long ass time ago. I love the wu's first two records and all the spin offs between those two but after the double CD can't say I can stomach them.
bought sylenth on group buy today. I was playing with the demo. I wonder why I even bought this Roland SH-201

See, I really liked '8 Diagrams' - it's just 'different' if you get me. It's not anywhere near as gritty or stabby as the first couple of albums, but it's still pretty tight.aizo wrote:I tell you he has gotten shitty in his old age. I liked when he was more gritty. I am LOVING RZA's 'Digi Snax' record. It's jazz-piano-tastic; some cracking tunes on there.

Care to elaborate on this? I'm hoping to get a pb going. How come you don't buy a prefab pb?McQ714 wrote:parts to make my own 16-point Neutrik combo jack patchbay

I wanted an XLR patchbay to move mic connectors to the front of my desk because i don't like to leave them plugged in. the only 16-point i could find was on onevisitmedia.com but i didn't want to spend $400 with shipping for it. so i ordered the parts i wanted and the cable i wanted to use and the punchout panel i needed but couldn't find a rack chassis wide enough so it's going to be a patch panel instead which is fine because it's not going to be moved around at all. at the end of the day, i spent less than $200 for the parts and another $75 for a soldering iron and solder and a few extras (little magnifying glass stand with alligator clips and a soldering iron holder and sponge). Now if i just had the time to sit down and get this thing done, that would be great! I should've just bought the prefab pb but I've been wanting to get crafty so here we go.

Same boat here. I found this one:McQ714 wrote:

But here's the issue, all this thing does is allow you to rack your inputs. To be a true patchbay the I/O and wiring has to have this funky capability to go "Half-Normall, Full Normall and Thru."
Here is a thread from another forum on the same topic:
http://messageboard.tapeop.com/viewtopic.php?t=60162
There isn't a wealth of information in the thread, because the Tape Op community isn't as lively as this one. But it's a start.
Good luck with your soldering project, though! I'll be getting my solder on pretty soon maybe. Time is a grotesque animal.
