I'm writing this on my new iPhone. It's mindbendingly awesome. Idrum is highly addictive..I'll have to buy the desktop component so that I can link my beats up and import new sounds. Bought a £5 screen skin which is surprisingly effective also. Re: being on call all the time.. I just switch it off when I sleep - I think there's a psychological element to it also.

Post your favorite free apps!

I'm spending the weekend with my girlfriend's family... I'm really getting to know the free games on my iPhone!

So far I like:

Darts
Crazy Penguin Catapult

I'm sure iDrum is great, but free is the pricetag that works in my budget.

If you wanted free, then why did you buy the most expensive phone plan around? Come on, buy an iphone, you better make sure to at least have 20 or 30 bucks left over to buy some apps! ;)

Had to bump this thread to join in the revelry of the iPhone! :D

The fiance and I both got one yesterday, and I must say it's even cooler than I was hoping (how often does that happen in life?). For a couple months now I've been debating/researching between an iPhone or other "smartphone", a new MacBook, one of the new "netbooks" like the Acer Aspire One, etc... I finally decided that at this time, the iPhone really is the "best of all worlds" since it's phone+iPod+internet+email+PDA all in one. I made the right choice!

I was holding out for the Storm, but what a debacle that's become. As we were getting our iPhones a guy was returning his Storm right next to us...he was NOT happy. I've been loyal to Verizon for a long time, but their selection is shit right now - surprising for the holiday season - so I jumped ship. I just couldn't wait any longer...

NAH, dropped mine (g3) already a few times.. right onto wood and stone floors... sweet.

not saying iPhones are super solid, they are just as fragile or non-fargile as any other phone...

and if you really want to protect, get a thick silicon sleave.

ahhh, want to jump the apps recomendation... iProRecorder form bias, wicked you can send files straight to Peak via a network.

So far I've found a few minor dislikes:

1. Can't send a pic by text, only email - wtf?
2. Needs horizontal/landscape mode option for virtual keyboard (like Storm).
3. Doesn't sync with Thundirbird email.
4. Needs more Settings options, especially for sounds/vibrate.

Other than that, I only wish I'd gotten the 16GB, which I may actually upgrade to...
