from The Guardian
For the good of humanity I would encourage you to actively prevent people from buying it.
Not a fan I guess :D
This is why I buy the Guardian.
Except I'd imagine papers like the Guardian said the same thing about hip hop, rave, house, acid when those genres first hit the headlines.

It's not that I always agree with their opinions or tastes, but it's usually pretty funny when they tear something to shreds.

To close the circle... the question of the thread we're in is "wtf is donk?" more towards understanding the nature of the genre and how (or not) is distiguished from other genres.

The question of this thread: http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=115892 is "Taking the 'donk' genre as a given (and the colo(u)rful "chavs" who originated it notwithstanding) discuss and describe the distinguishing aspects (if any) of donk's beat".

The questions have merit, I believe, because the world is in a glum state, and when this occurs it is often even more fertile ground for inane diversions, including the diversion of discussing such diversions in the manner of one having a pickle up one's butt.

[edit] moreover, if 'Ableton is killing one's transients' as discussed in another thread, this would seem to indicate an impediment when applying a banging donk.

I have to confess that I have a connection with the donk in that I worked on the 'put a donk on it video' and made the donk machine, or Donkamatic 3000.
