I just spotted this thread.. . I play with two other fellas. We've just srated live gigging and are looking for venues to start playing around London.
We're interested in maybe collaborating with a couple of other to maybe put some nights on? Say 3-4 bands/artists with 30-45 min sets each? Finding a venue has not been easy though - seems bars/clubs aren't too keen to support unsigned artists in London.
Our style in Drum&Bass/electro/dub. We have an electro + instrument setup. (facebook:

Anyone keen to pursue this? Maybe best for me to join in your next beers session to have a yarn. . .

Hi your more than welcome at the next meet. We want to get Forge involved on the next meeting so going by the dates you have given us Forge, the following nights look like they might be possible: (I've limited it to week nights and taken out the Easter break to increase chances of a bigger turn out)
April 09
-------
Wed 8th - <I'm going to a gig can't do>
Thur 9th
Easter
Mon 14th
Tue 15th
-
Tue 21st
Wed 22nd - I can't do
Thur 23rd
So if all people interested could shout out what dates they'd prefer we might be able to make this happen. Also Forge we have a few pub venues in mind to host this, could you let us know if you have any preferences in terms of space/hardware required ect.
Finally there is a Facebook group related to this so we'll be posting an event and further info to that as well (don't have the groupid yet).

cool!
is the 14th easter mon? if so I can't do that one or the next day, but Other than that I'm probably pretty ok I think... so 2 of you said you can't do the 8th, so that leaves the 9th, 21st or 23rd
Thinking about it, I just remembered 'Poster' from the forum (another alpha tester) is going to be in town from the 20th I think, if we make it the 21st or 23rd then I'll try and commandeer him into coming too...I'm sure he'd be up for it!

hey guys!
i'm down for the 21st or 23...
Indeed forge, if you're still interested in doing the workshop, that would be great
let us know what you need, let's agree on a date and that way we can start looking for a place that would let us host it.
Peace!

its the 21st or 23rd right? I'm for the 21st, but don't mind, if there's no objections lets go ahead and book a venue for the 21st?

So I just caught up with some of the banter so far and sounds like some good stuff going down.
I'm up for either 21st or 23rd.
I'm pretty new to the elctronica scene, but loving the process of exploration and combining acoustic and electronic. Have done a handful of live sets and looking for ways to make it all a bit more interactive, so very much up for collaboration and cross pollination of ideas.
Also could probably organise a couple of nights in SE London, New Cross Gate area. There's a craaazy little pub called the Montague Arms where a few of the Accidental Records crew hold a killer experimental night. Maybe they would be up for another...?
Anyway more of that later.
