The download versions are Quicktime movies, but you can watch streaming flash versions while you download so you can get started right away. I don't offer physical DVD's by default, but I'm more than happy to burn the movies onto a DVD and send it to my customers if they're more comfortable with that.Stan_T wrote:Parts of the site are blocked at my work, so I have a dumb question. What format are we buying?
Are they links to QT/Flash/AVI/WMV movies?
A physical DVD?
Things that will be free on YouTube in a month?
And no, nothing that will be free on Youtube in a month

I dont know if it was me, but I did say something similar to someone doing the same sort of plug thing in these forums.
Sure, you got the right to try and make a buck. Sure, you got the right to post a plug in a forum.
I'm all about the freedom to post as you wish on a mostly unmoderated board. So by that standard, there is no inherant contradiction in posting criticism to your advertising. I simply prefer a free exchange of ideas in a public community rather then have that community used as a market place. Otherwise, spammed hyperlinks to web cam strippers are also ok. What I'm saying is I like this community because it's not same place I buy my hookers.

But Nick does give something to the community, sharing knowledge here and in his FREE videos. What do you contribute to the exchange of free ideas? Exchange means giving something back.Incy wrote:I dont know if it was me, but I did say something similar to someone doing the same sort of plug thing in these forums.

Lots of people advertise Ableton related products here, makes more sense than in Steinberg or Apples forum.
You either buy it or not, no need to get all hyped up, we're talking Ableton Live tutorials here, not hookers.

That sounds good. No DVD needed, just curious. I'll be checking it out this weekend.Nick the Zombie wrote:The download versions are Quicktime movies, but you can watch streaming flash versions while you download so you can get started right away.
