a friend was in his Corvette, he pulls up to the light and sees the front end of a cop's Mustang up ahead. some kids pull up next to him in their Mustang and start revving their engine. he goes for it, revs his engine, puts on a show. the light changes, the kids go tearing off, my friend just eases on down the road. kids got soooo busted. anyone else notice that Mustang owners are total assholes? every one I've ever met has some complex over their Mustang, in the big picture it's not even a fast car.

Although every time I see a middle aged guy driving a red corvette, It almost seems like they are driving a big dick and nut sack, and loving it......
I am a mini van with tinted windows kind of guy......all you need is a child seat and a bible, and you never get hassled even if you get pulled over. I have done some great fucking is public places with my minivans, driving all over the country.....

Since I used to surf in my younger years, I was always an SUV/Truck kind of guy. Was almost a necessity for carrying surfboards and getting into beaches where the terrain was a little craggy. My first truck was a banged-up Ford ranger from the 80's. Was fugly and kind of rusty, but goddamn that thing was tough, and got me places. Then I had a Jeep Cherokee (not the grand. The boxy, classic one) for like 4 years, until I totalled it in 2004. It was an upgrade process. After that, I had the automotive love of my life. My beloved yellow Nissan X-Terra. I truly adored that vehicle. It was gorgeous but looked tough, and wasn't excessively large. Definitely not a soccer mom SUV. Was truly a surf patrol machine. Was so sad to have to let it go when I moved to the States.

Now I drive a 99 Ford Explorer Sport, which I bought when I lived in Rhode Island. Not a fan of it, but it's gotten me around, and for an SUV, it's pretty compact. I don't even know why I bought yet ANOTHER SUV though. A combination of habit and the wish to avoid getting snowed in, maybe. But I was misinformed when I had just moved. Had I known then what I know now, I'd know there was no need for an SUV, even in the semi-remote part of RI where I lived for a year (cringe). Now I'm trying to sell it. No need for it or any other car here in NYC and I'm just wasting money on (MANDATORY) insurance. Been a pain in the ass. Noone seems even remotely interested in buying a car in this area, especially in an SUV. i've made listings everywhere and nothing. A few calls but nothing serious. I'll probably end up taking it to one of those Carmax places and getting a lowball offer for it

mustangs are popular with young meat heads because they are cheap and with a few relatively cheap mods they are very fast. i had a 95 cobra with less than 2 grand worth of work done on it and i was pulling low 11s on a quarter track all the time with out blowing my motor. I dusted 911s, srt 4s, srt10s, a viper(srt 12), some corvetts, crxs with all kinds of motors even an ls1 or 2. I never raced on the streets because i knew how your endangering others when you do that and I wasnt about that. I lost one of my best friends because he wouldnt stop and I didnt want to get the call he was dead or killed someone. The number of people who tried to race me on the streets were sickening. Broad daylight, school zones, busy streets where ever it didnt matter. I would say the majority were not mustangs but eclipse's. people are idiots.

If i can afford it, by the end of the year I want to purchase a 67 impala and convert it to straight american muscle. I love the rush I get from drag racing. I love the attention I get after. I love almost everything about the "sport". Some tracks here let you take passengers on runs. Most girls get scared shitless going that fast.... but some cant get enough. When you get one of those, its almost guaranteed your having a great night. I think everyone should drive a fast car balls to the wall at least once in their life in a safe controlled environment.

taking the piss, nice post. personally I prefer 2nd gear driving around corners over flat out speed. I put an intake on my car, it's not properly fast but it'll drift nicely. I love a fast car, I just don't drive that much to justify the cost. sooner or later I'll get a proper car. as much as I'd love to get a BMW I drive like an asshole, bad combination.

One of my old bosses owned a industrial park and a m3. we went at it one night and almost totaled both of our cars and a steel building(gave it another door). lol. It takes lots of practice and tires(and balls) to get good at that shit. Last time i spoke with him he bought a m6 and was just getting his tires to lock on an 1/8 track...yikes.
